*Description: This is a unique pair of Eugene hand-made designer earrings from the 1950s. Eugene, according to his nephew, worked for Miriam Haskell and you definitely see the Miriam Haskell elements within the earrings. Each earring is designed on a filigree back and design elements are hand wired on the base. The earrings include clear rhinestones, foil Murano style glass, a pear shaped crystal in turquoise, and turquoise beads. Both earrings clasps are stamped Eugene. This would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!

Eugene was in business from approximately 1952 to 1962. The founder of the company was Eugene Schultz who was born in 1911 and passed away in 1964. Eugene Schultz worked in different areas of design which include costume, greeting cards, and fashion. It was reported by his nephew that he had previously worked for Miriam Haskell. All of his pieces were his designs and hand-made by his company. His designs were featured in an accessories show ad from 1952. Eugene went out of business in 1962.
