Antique Sash Pin Repousse JCP & Sons Prov RI Signed Floral Design Molded Topaz Glass Stone Center Art Nouveau Brass Sash Ornament Pendant Pin
*Description: This is a unique antique sash pin from the early 1900s. The sash pin is made with gold brass using the repousse technique. The floral design is on the top layer of metal with the molded faceted topaz glass ornament in the middle of the oval design, also on the top layer. The bottom is a second layer which has been attached by folding over the edge. The bottom has been signed and due to age is very difficult to read but it appears to be JCP & Sons Prov RI on one side and a patent number on the opposite side; all on the back. The pin is thick so it could go through thick or layered clothing and the clasp is the C clasp that was used during that period of time. It is possible that the initials are slightly different. The J is pretty clear. The C could be an O. The P could be an R or D. Prov RI are clearly labeled. The numbers on the opposite end fade in and out due to heavy wear. This is a great sash pin and is in wonderful condition.
*Approximate Measurements:
Length - 1 7/8 Inches
Width - 2 3/4 Inches
*Condition: Great condition. Will see signs of wear under magnification.
*Hallmark: JCP & Sons Prov RI
