*Description: This is a beautiful designer Bogoff green rhinestone and rhodium plated necklace from the last half of the 1940s. The rhinestones are an emerald green glass and have a pendant with green and a few clear rhinestones in a floral design. The frontal rhinestone design is attached to a beautiful chain on each side with a spring ring clasp that is one of the earlier styles without the tab on the side. This is a gorgeous design and made with quality materials as Bogoff was known for in his designs. This would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!

Bogoff was in operation from 1946 to 1959. Henry Bogoff was an immigrant from Poland. Earlier in their business their company produced accessories and rhinestone buttons. In 1946, they began to design and manufacture rhinestone jewelry. In magazine advertisements during this time period their jewelry was shared as “Jewels by Bogoff”. During their business, they were successfully competing with Trifari and Coro. Their hallmarks were BOGOFF and JEWELS BY BOGOFF. Their jewelry is usually embellished with small to medium sized rhinestones. The metal is usually a rhodium finish.
