*Description: This is a beautiful pair of Hattie Carnegie black beaded clip on earrings with clear rhinestone beads from the 1950s. Each earring features five clear rhinestone beads which are covered with beautiful sparkling clear rhinestones. The beads are black diagonal cut bugle glass beads which surround the rhinestone beads. This is a gorgeous pair of mid-century earrings and would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!

Hattie Carnegie jewelry began her jewelry line in 1939 and continued through 1970. In 1939, she began marketing jewelry to coordinate with her fashions. Many talented artists designed Carnegie jewelry. Some of the best loved Carnegie pieces are from her theme collections. Her most common marks are “Hattie Carnegie” in script, “Carnegie”, and “HC” in a diamond oval frame, which is rare. Carnegie passed away in 1956 but her jewelry continued to be manufactured until 1970. This information was shared in Julia C Carroll’s book Costume Jewelry 101.
