This is a stunning mid-century Deauville three-strand necklace from the 1950s featuring vibrant orange and red Lucite beads. The necklace includes a mix of round, faceted, and satin-finish beads, accented by delicate gold-tone filigree leaf caps and sparkling rhinestone rondelles.
This striking necklace was created by J.R. Wood & Sons Company, which produced jewelry under the Deauville name from the early 1900s until around 1970. The maker’s mark “Deauville” is found on both sides near the clasp and extension chain.
The beads are strung on a strong thread, designed to lay flat when worn. Some of the longer bead caps are intentionally built outward, adding dimension and vintage character to this lively, retro design.
