*Description: This is a beautiful Freirich Victorian design choker necklace from the 1960s. I tested the surface metal at 10K gold so it is gold plated. The clasp is a hidden box clasp and is stamped Freirich on the back. There are six strands which attach to an open work pendant which is built in to the design. This is a timeless piece which will be worn for years to come. This would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!
Freirich - The Freirich company began in 1900. Originally called Maison David & located in the US and France. It was bought out by Solomon Freirich in 1922. The name remained Maison David in France, but changed to Freirich in the US. Designed millinery and dress ornaments, along with buttons for Chanel and Dior. Excellent quality, all handmade jewelry in an antique and Victorian look. Begin marking their jewelry in the 1960s. They closed in 1990.
