*Description: This is a beautiful Miriam Haskell pink art glass beaded necklace in the long length of 44 inches from the 1940s. The clasp is a slide hook rectangular clasp with a unique design which is stamped HASKELL on one side and Pat 3427691 on the other which dates the necklace to the 1940s. The necklace has irregular barrel art glass deeper pink beads, marbled light pink round beads, and clear irregular pear shaped pink beads; many have tiny air bubbles inside also showing their hand blown properties. Beads are separated by textured brass spacer beads. This would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!

Miriam Haskell began making jewelry in 1924. Her handmade jewelry designs were available only in limited quantities and were originally expensive to purchase. According to Julia C Carroll in Costume Jewelry 101, Haskell employed many noted designers over the years including Frank Hess, Robert Clark, Peter Raines, LarrPy Vrba, and Camille Petronzio. Each designer brought their own artistic vision to Haskell jewelry. Designs by Frank Hess, who designed from 1926 to 1960, are the most coveted by collectors.
