Purple Rhinestone Japanned Made in Austria Brooch, Aurora Borealis, 1960s Vintage

*Description: This is a gorgeous and unique purple brooch made in Austria in the late 1950s to 1960s. Half of the brooch is made with Japanned (black) settings and the back half is made in silver tone settings. The bow design is swirling with purple rhinestones, many of which are aurora borealis purple rhinestones in the Japanned prong set design. Extending out of the swirling bows is lavender baguettes on extending arms which are set in silver tone. This two toned setting is very unique and is the first I have seen with the two settings on one brooch. The back has a raised cartouche with Made in Austria stamped inside. If you love purple, like we do, this would be the perfect brooch for you. This would also be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!
