*Description: This is a beautiful Vendome wide gold plated bracelet with swirls and open work and a hidden box clasp from the 1950s. The bracelet is stamped VENDOME on the back near the clasp. The design is such that it is continuous and you do not see where the bracelet opens and closes due to the hidden box clasp. It is a very rare and unique design. This would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!
According to Julia C Carroll, of Costume Jewelry 101, she states, “In 1944, Coro began producing jewelry marked “Vendome”, the name of a city in France. Like Coro Craft, the name Vendome is associated with higher-end Coro designs. Most Vendome jewelry was produced after 1953. The head designer of Vendome jewelry was Helen Marion. She is responsible for creative designs that used crystals in innovative and beautiful ways.”
