*Description: This is a beautiful Bogoff heart red rhinestone choker necklace from the 1950s. It is rhodium plated which is silver in tone. This would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!
Bogoff was in operation from 1946 to 1959. Henry Bogoff was an immigrant from Poland. Earlier in their business their company produced accessories and rhinestone buttons. In 1946, they began to design and manufacture rhinestone jewelry. In magazine advertisements during this time period their jewelry was shared as “Jewels by Bogoff”. During their business, they were successfully competing with Trifari and Coro. Their hallmarks were BOGOFF and JEWELS BY BOGOFF. Their jewelry is usually embellished with small to medium sized rhinestones. The metal is usually a rhodium finish.
