This is a striking pair of vintage Matisse designer earrings from the 1950s–1960s. Designed by Matisse, the enameled line of Renoir of California, these earrings showcase the bold mid-century modern style the brand is known for.
Each earring features a detailed openwork copper frame with colorful enamel centers. The Matisse script hallmark (used between 1952–1964) confirms their authenticity. Renoir, founded in 1946 by Jerry Fels, produced copper jewelry until about 1964, with Matisse reserved exclusively for their enameled pieces.
