Weiss was founded in 1942 and ceased operations in 1971. Albert Weiss gained experience by working at Coro and then founded in 1942. Most of the Weiss jewelry is made of high quality Austrian rhinestones and timeless designs.
According to Julia C Carroll in Costume Jewelry 303, some Weiss pieces were designed and manufactured by DeLizza and Elster, Inc, to be sold under the Weiss trademark. Some Japanned metal designs and a few colorful enamel designs. Signature was stamped into the metal, part of the mold, or on a raised cartouche.
