*Description: This is a beautiful Weiss Christmas Tree brooch with five white candles from the late 1950s to 1960s. This brooch is a book piece and is featured in "Christmas Tree Pins O Christmas Tree" by Nancy Unker Trowbridge on pages 156-157. Trowbridge explains, "Here is probably the best known and most highly sought after Weiss Christmas tree pin. The following three trees (we offer one) could be called "The Weiss Trio" because the design comes in three sizes. A wonderful design with green stones creating their own tiers. It is decorated with white baguette candles with gold flames. The base is a horizontal row of amber stones." The brooch that we offer is the medium size of the three trees and it has famously the five baguette candles. Note: This design usually has two dangling ornaments on the bottom of the tree and this tree only has one. Either one broke off on the bottom left or it was never added. Still looks great. This would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!

There is a missing bulb on the bottom left as each Christmas tree should have two dangling ornaments and this tree only has one. I don't know if it was always missing or not.
