Wells Sterling Chrysoprase Gemstone Bracelet, Mid Century Vintage Asian Bracelet

*Description: This is a mid-century bracelet made by Wells Sterling with green gemstones of Chrysoprase. Wells, Inc. was in business in Attleboro, MA from 1922 to 1978. Each of the bamboo & Asian symbol links are signed Wells Ster. Some near the clasp have worn off. The links in between are gold plated and hold the gemstones. I tested the gemstones and they fall into the Chrysoprase, Nephrite, and Emerald area of the Presidium Gem Tester. The spring ring and safety chain are more gold in tone than the rest of the bracelet. I have reviewed others with the same bracelet and they all have this characteristic. I do not know the meaning of the Asian symbol but it is in every other link. This would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift!
